Find data on the Australian Government Data Catalogue
The Australian Government Data Catalogue enables users to discover data held by Australian Government agencies. As a core component of the Data and Digital Government Strategy, it promotes greater transparency and use of public sector data.
The Catalogue is accessible on Dataplace, a central point to find and request Australian Government data. The Catalogue includes records of open data, which is publicly available, and restricted or conditional data assets which needs to be requested. Once users have discovered the data they wish to access, they will be directed to openly available data assets or to make a request to the custodian.
Request data
All organisations can make a request to access Australian Government data through Dataplace.
The process for requesting data on Dataplace is detailed in the following
Requesting data using the DATA Scheme
