The Office of the National Data Commissioner (ONDC) continues to support participants to share data using the DATA Scheme to support delivery of national priorities. The statutory review of the Data Availability and Transparency Act 2022 has now been finalised. The Government is considering its response to the Review.

ADSPs can provide certain data services to facilitate safe and secure data sharing under the DATA Scheme.

The ONDC manages registers of accredited entities and data sharing agreements under the DATA Scheme.

In the event a DATA Scheme entity reasonably suspects or becomes aware of a Scheme data breach, they must notify the National Data Commissioner. To report a Scheme data breach, please use the Notification of a Scheme data breach form.

DATA Scheme entities may request advice from the National Data Commissioner about how the data sharing scheme applies to them, or how it would apply in particular circumstances.
