Statutory Review of the DAT Act

The statutory review of the Data Availability and Transparency Act 2022 has commenced in accordance with Section 142 of the Act. The review is being led by Dr Stephen King supported by a Secretariat team within the Department of Finance. The review team is now welcoming feedback from stakeholders and members of the public.

We encourage you to contribute to the review, including by providing a submission to the Issues Paper. You can learn more about the review here. For questions on the review please contact the Secretariat team via email DATActReview@finance.gov.au.

We welcome the review and the opportunity to ensure the Act can operate as intended to improve the availability and use of Australian government data for public benefit. To inform the review, ONDC is publishing new resources about the DATA Scheme and how it has operated since the legislation commenced.

For questions on the DATA Scheme, please contact ONDC via email information@datacommissioner.gov.au.
