APS Data Awards 2026 - Nominations are open now

The Office of the National Data Commissioner is proud to promote the APS Data Awards 2026, recognising excellence in data-driven initiatives across the Australian Public Service. 

Hosted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on behalf of the APS Data Profession, the awards recognise outstanding contributions to data use, innovation, and impact across government, showcasing how data is being harnessed to improve outcomes for Australians.

With seven updated award categories, the program highlights innovation, collaboration, and impact across the APS data landscape. The categories for the 2026 awards include: 

• Data Leadership and Capability Building
• Data Sharing and Partnerships
• Data Science and Analytics
• Data Visualisation and Storytelling
• Data Systems and Innovations
• Early Data Career
• Diversity and Inclusion in Data. 

Nominations close on Monday 17 November 2025.
